lemon and chilli grilled wings

When it comes to making wings, the saucier and stickier they are, the better! However, this quarantine I thought I’d branch out and explore dry marinades as they can be just as moist and tasty.

This recipe is perfect for those of you who enjoy but can't take too much heat. The balance of the lemon and The Cooler makes for a great partnership.

INGREDIENTS

8 -10 Raw chicken wings

THE COOLER

The Marinade

1/2 cup Lemon juice

1/3 cup Olive Oil

1 tsp Chilli flakes

2 tsp Garlic paste

2 tsp Onion powder

1 tsp Cumin

1 tsp Salt

  1. Clean and prep your wings cleaning them with vinegar, lemon juice and water.

  2. Pre heat your grill to medium heat.

  3. In a bowl add the marinade ingredients mixing them well.

  4. Put your wings in a bowl and add half of your marinade to the bowl and mix. You'll want to save part of the marinade to baste your wings.

  5. Lay your marinaded wings in a tray. If you're laying the wings on a grill grate ensure to grease it with olive oil before laying them.

  6. Put your wings in the grill and leave for 10 minutes.

  7. After 10 minutes turn and baste with the wings with the remainder of the marinade. Place back in the grill for another 10-15 minutes checking them regularly for a nice even colour.

  8. Once they are fully cooked remove and enjoy with a nice healthy dollop of The Cooler.
