The Story behind: Think it. Pot it. Make it.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Peeled raw king prawns
3 cups Pre cooked rice
1 Carrot
1 Medium red onion
1/2 Red bell pepper
2 Spring onion
2 Long red chillies
2 eggs
1 Vegetable cube
1 tbsp Garlic
1 tbsp Ginger
1 tbsp Soy sauce
1-2 tsp The Black Stuff
2 tbsp Oyster sauce
3 tbp Sesame seed oil
Wash and dice up the red onion, bell pepper, chillies and spring onion. Shred the carrots using a grater.
In a bowl, crack your eggs and whisk. Put aside for later in the recipe.
Next in a wok on medium/low heat add sesame seed oil and let it heat up. Add your red onions to the hot oil.
To the pan add garlic, ginger and the vegetable cube. Add your chopped peppers and let the mix cook.
Add a table spoon of light soy with a teaspoon of oyster and let the mix continue to cook.
Next, add your king prawns and stir.
Add a 1-2 teaspoons of the black stuff and mix. Shortly after add in your carrots.
You’ll see your prawns are starting to cook as they start to curl. Add the mixed eggs to the wok. Let it sit for 1 minute before folding. After 3 minutes add the rice.
When adding the rice to the pan, add it bit by bit folding it each time into the sauce/egg mix.
Finally add the spring onion and mix well.
