GOLDEN ONE FRIED RICE

This nice and easy fried rice recipe packs a so much flavour you'll be going back for more.

Ingredients

  •  The Golden One

  • 2 cups day-old Basmati rice (preferably refrigerated overnight)

  • 1 cup grated carrots

  • 1 cup diced green bell peppers

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seed oil

  • 1 cup Spring onions

Instructions

Prepare the Rice:

  • If you haven't done so already, cook the Basmati rice and refrigerate it overnight. Cold, day-old rice works best for fried rice.

Heat the Wok or Pan:

  • Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat.

Sauté Garlic:

  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until it becomes fragrant.

Add Vegetables:

  • Toss in grated carrots and diced green bell peppers. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.

Add Rice:

  • Add the cold, day-old Basmati rice to the wok. Break up any clumps and stir-fry with the vegetables. Ensure the rice is well-coated with the oil.

Season:

  • Pour in dark soy sauce, stir well to evenly distribute the sauce.

  • Add in The Golden One according to your spice preference stirring evenly into the rice mix.

Season with salt and white pepper:

  • Add the white pepper.

  • Taste the fried rice and add salt as needed. Remember that soy sauce already contains salt, so add salt cautiously.

Finish Cooking:

  • Add chopped spring onions for a burst of freshness.

  • Continue stir-frying for an additional 3-5 minutes until the rice is heated through and has a slightly crispy texture.

Enjoy!
